Estimates for channels in the Partner Program, after YouTube's share. RPM swings by season (higher Oct–Dec, lower in January) and by video. Your Studio Revenue tab is the only real number.
How it estimates
Earnings = monetized views ÷ 1,000 × RPM.
- Monetized views — not every view shows an ad. Ad blockers, short watch sessions and limited-ads videos all reduce it. Slide the percentage to match your channel (Studio shows "estimated monetized playbacks").
- RPM — revenue per 1,000 views after YouTube's share. We use ranges for mostly-Indian audiences by niche, and raise them if more of your viewers are in the US, UK, Canada or the Gulf.
Why Indian RPMs are lower
Advertisers pay less to reach viewers in India than in the US, so the same video earns less per view here. Finance, insurance, software and tech attract the best rates; music, devotional and entertainment the lowest. That's why a Hindi finance channel with 50,000 views can out-earn a comedy channel with 5 lakh.
Seasonality
RPMs rise through October–December as brands spend on festive and year-end campaigns, then drop sharply in January. Don't judge a channel's earning power on one month.
Before you're monetized
You need 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours (or 10M Shorts views) first. Check where you stand with the monetization checker.
