Why the comment section matters on Indian YouTube

Indian viewers read comments more than almost anyone. Under a phone review, people look for "bhai mera bhi same phone hai, heating issue hai kya?" Under a coaching video, parents look for "sir ka padhane ka tarika best hai". Under a new song, listeners look for "who's here after the reel went viral?" An empty comment section says nobody cared enough to say anything.

Custom comments let you set the tone: real questions your video answers, timestamps people would want, reactions in the language your audience uses.

Writing comments that look real

The best custom comments sound like your actual viewers. Some patterns that work:

• Questions the video answers: "Kya ye method Android 14 pe bhi kaam karega?"
• Timestamps: "6:42 wala part sabse useful tha" — viewers love these and YouTube links them.
• Specific reactions: "Pehli baar kisi ne GST simple language me samjhaya" beats "Nice video".
• Mixed lengths: a few one-liners, some longer thoughts.
• A light disagreement or two: "Mujhe laga camera aur better hoga, but overall theek hai."

Avoid: 30 comments that all say "Awesome video bro 🔥", links, phone numbers, and comments about subscribing to other channels.

Then reply

Replying to comments — yours and real ones — is what turns a seeded comment section into a real one. A creator reply also gets the "creator heart" option, and replies count as engagement on your own channel's activity. Pin the most useful comment, and if you want it to stay on top, add a few comment likes.

Delivery and partial refunds

Comments go out gradually — about 10K/day on the standard option — rather than all at once. If YouTube's filter removes some before the order closes, the order may finish as partial and the undelivered share is refunded to your wallet automatically.

Example: seeding a tutorial

A Tamil tech channel posts "How to apply for PAN card online in Tamil". A good 20-comment seed might include five questions the video answers (with timestamps), five thank-you comments in Tamil and Tanglish, four that mention a specific step ("Aadhaar OTP part was confusing, thanks for showing it"), three short reactions, two asking for a follow-up video and one mild complaint ("Website was slow for me, but steps worked"). Then the creator replies to each question with the timestamp. Real viewers arriving later see an active, useful comment section and are far more likely to add their own.
