India's YouTube audience doesn't watch in one language. Most of the growth in the last few years has come from viewers watching in Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, Marathi, Bhojpuri and other Indian languages — often on phones, often in smaller towns, and often searching in a mix of their own script and English letters.

For creators, that means a simple trade-off: a smaller audience, but far less competition, and viewers who are more loyal to channels that speak to them properly.

Language guides

Each guide covers who watches, what they search for, the seasonal calendar and a 30-day plan. Each has a companion page on ordering Indian subscribers for that language.

What works across every language

  • Search in your viewers' words. Type your topic with the language name added and see what comes up — thin results are an opening.
  • Plan around festivals. Pongal, Onam, Durga Puja, Chhath, Bihu, Navratri — every language has moments when search traffic jumps.
  • Write the native spelling in the thumbnail and the Roman-script version in the title, so you catch both kinds of search.
  • Reply in the language. Regional audiences talk back; channels that answer keep them.

Indian subscribers and comments

For channels that want to look established before a launch, Indian subscribers are delivered slowly from Indian profiles, from ₹567.03 per 1,000 today. For comments in your language, custom comments post exactly what you write, in any script. Read the honest risk note below before ordering anything.

Frequently asked questions

Is a regional channel harder to grow than a Hindi one?

The audience is smaller, but competition is usually much lower. Many regional searches return only a handful of good videos, which gives a consistent creator a real opening.

Do regional channels earn less?

RPM depends on niche and where viewers are. Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Gujarati and Punjabi channels often have diaspora viewers abroad, which can lift earnings.

Can you target subscribers by state or language?

No. Indian options target India as a country. We don't sell state or language targeting because we can't verify it.

Should I make videos in two languages on one channel?

Usually not. Viewers subscribe for a language; mixing confuses them. Run a second channel if you want to cover another language.
