Copyright strike is a penalty issued after a valid copyright takedown request.
A copyright strike follows a legal takedown request from a rights holder. Three active strikes can lead to channel termination. Strikes expire after 90 days if you complete Copyright School, or can be resolved by retraction or counter-notification. A Content ID claim is different and doesn't give a strike.
