Who orders 1,000 watch hours
A thousand watch hours suits channels within reach of 4,000 — usually at 2,800–3,300 — or channels aiming at 3,000 for the early-access tier. It's the most common watch-hour order size.
Typical case: a Gujarati recipe channel uploads 20-minute thalis every week and has 3,050 hours. It splits 1,000 hours across its three longest recipes, one order per day, and keeps uploading. Real viewers account for the large majority of its watch time.

Delivery starts within 0–24 hours and runs at around 500/day, so 1,000 hours usually take about a few days. Watch time appears in Studio with a delay; the order page shows progress as it's delivered.
Prices are live from the same catalogue as the order box above. If an option can't take exactly this quantity, the next suitable option in that group is used.
What 1,000 watch hours means in views
Watch hours = views × average minutes watched ÷ 60. To earn 1,000 hours naturally, a channel needs about 15,000 views at a 4-minute average, or 7,500 views at an 8-minute average. That's why longer videos that people actually finish matter so much — check your numbers in our watch-time calculator.
In Studio, the valid total under Earn is what counts for YPP. Analytics may show more hours than Earn does, because Earn excludes Shorts, private and deleted videos, and activity YouTube treats as inauthentic. Bought hours can be among what's excluded.
Before you order
- The video is public and longer than 35 minutes.
- It's not made for kids and embedding is allowed.
- It's not a Short — Shorts watch time doesn't count toward 4,000 hours.
Paste a long-form video link in the box above — it's preset to 1,000. Log in or sign up inside the box, then pay from your wallet or tap Pay via UPI for the shortfall (minimum ₹100). The order is placed as soon as the payment confirms, and you can follow it in your dashboard with its start count.
